Foundation Holds Three 2007 Vietnamese New Year (Tet) Fundraisers

The Foundation for the Children of Vietnam held three fundraisers at festivals for 2007 Vietnamese Lunar New Year (Tet) in the Washington DC area.  The Tet celebrations were held on February 10th (Maryland and Virginia) and February 17th (Virginia).  We raised money through the sale of souvenirs and gifts from Vietnam and jewelry from Claire’s Accessories, from the sale of Vietnamese food, and from games for children of all ages.  Many thanks to all the hardworking volunteers and generous donors!  Please visit the photos page of our website for pictures of these events.

Foundation for the Children of Vietnam in the News!

A local newspaper, NextDoorNews, published an article on Phuong and the Foundation in January, 2007. Please read it and help us spread the word for our kids in Vietnam!

Foundation Karaoke Fundraiser Was A Sold Out Success!

On December 1, 2006 the Foundation held a wildly successful sold-out Karaoke Fundraiser in North Bethesda, Maryland.  The Fundraiser had food, drinks, foosball, videos, and of course Karaoke singing.  Most incredibly, throughout the night not a single off-tune note was sung!  (Waaait a minute, how long has my hearing aid battery been dead?)

One hundred donors sponsored the fundraiser, along with numerous volunteers who supplied the food, drinks, party room, and general helping-out!  Thank you to you all!!
